How to play Language Vocabulary
Objective: Translate ten words correctly.
- Choose a difficulty and press Start.
- Translate a Spanish, French or German word into English — or the other way round.
- Take your time: questions are not timed.
- Each round has 10 questions. You see the right answer after every question.
Scoring
100 points per correct answer, up to 50 more for answering quickly, and +20 per answer while on a streak of 3 or more. Getting 60% or more counts as a win.
Difficulty levels
Easy: common words, foreign to English only. Normal: more words and English to foreign. Hard: harder vocabulary in both directions.
Tips
- Many words share roots: “libro” and “livre” both mean book.
- German nouns always start with a capital letter.
